ABOUT
Oliver Daniel is a software developer with a decade of experience, based in Toronto, Ontario. He specializes in full-stack web development, but also has a breadth of experience in researching and designing UX/UI for multiple platforms. He offers an empathetic approach to developer experience and accessibility practices.
After starting out in Computer Science & Linguistics at the University of Toronto, the pandemic led him to discover the Bachelor of Information program offered at the iSchool, from which he graduated in 2023.

All Aboard Integrative Medicine
Web Developer, January - May 2024
Primary technical consultant and website developer for an Indiana-based clinic focusing on children with autism. Special empathy and care was taken to make the site accessible for clients and their families. Users can access business information about the practice, set up appointments, and find links to community resources and information sessions.
SRHR Hubs Toronto
Full Stack Developer, September 2022 – March 2023
Full-stack development and maintenance of the Community Map project website, an interactive directory and mapping system of community resources for people with sexual and reproductive advocacy needs in Ontario and beyond.
Featured at the 67th UN Commission on the Status of Women.

Developed Node-based clients for the Nuance Mix interaction design toolkit. Major projects include decreasing TTI for the React-based web portal by more than 25%, and transitioning the Mix CLI for automated clients to open source.

Adapted an inherited project scaffold into a fully functional platform for events for remote-first work teams. Major projects include implementing CI/CD using Gitlab CI, with automated feature preview deployments and build status notifications.

Design and full-stack development of organization website. GitHub-powered content management with NetlifyCMS, including 100% English/French mirroring of site content and instant language switching.

Vaccine Ontario
Course project, January – March 2022
Fully-interactive mockups of a mobile application and wearable companion app, helping Ontario residents manage their COVID-19 vaccine appointments and certificates.

Green-field UX research project based on the Double Diamond model.The final deliverable was a medium-fidelity prototype for a mobile directory of study spaces on the University of Toronto St. George campus.
